This project was a three story Victorian era rooming house, converted into a single family home two decade ago. It received a modern renovation, bringing harmony to the living space for a family of four. The scope for this project included carving out two bedrooms for the kids, renovating the Kitchen and Powder Room, waterproofing and renovating the third story roof deck, and adding Venetian plaster accent walls and painting through out. An extensive wall unit built with FSC certified plywood and eco-friendly resin panels lends a modern, playful feel, while separating the home office from kid’s bedrooms and playroom. The Ipe covered deck provides a modern and elegant perch among the trees rooted in the urban green space below. Completed in 2010.
