Designer client redesigned the interior space and backyard of a home in which he lives with his family of five. The new foundation became the finish floor of the subterranean family/ music room with the concrete spilling out into the exterior space creating a minimal line between inside and out. The ceilings of the living quarters on the upper floor follow the original architecture of the Victorian era roof. Eco-teak horizontal grain veneer custom cabinetry was specified for the chefs kitchen, marble slab counters and glass tile adorn the baths, and locally fabricated stainless steel handrail systems were specified for the interior and exterior spaces. Completed 2010.
